Richard Overton, America’s oldest man and oldest war veteran died shortly before the New Year. During his long life, he served in the Army during WWII, worked in the state treasurer’s office, traveled to the White House to meet President Obama and Vice President Biden, and had a street and day dedicated to him in Austin.
